A Supplier of Building Materials
EDK Building Materials is an exporter of construction chemicals headquartered in Eskişehir, Turkey. Our product range spans Portland cement, concrete admixtures, tile adhesives and synthetic reinforcement fibers — materials that form the structural and finishing layers of buildings across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
We supply what we sell. That is not a marketing line — it is the operational reality that determines everything from the consistency of our product batches to the accuracy of our technical documentation. When you deal with EDK, you are dealing directly with the source, which means fewer misunderstandings, faster answers and no gaps between what a catalogue says and what arrives on site.
Our location in Eskişehir is a deliberate advantage. The city sits at the centre of Turkey's industrial corridor, providing direct access to quality raw material sources and a logistics infrastructure geared for both domestic distribution and international export. Turkey holds the world's top position in cement exports — a position we actively leverage to deliver competitive, well-documented supply to our customers.
Where We Come From
EDK was founded by professionals with hands-on backgrounds in construction chemistry and building materials supply. Before EDK existed, the people behind it had spent years navigating the same supply chain that their customers now rely on — and they were familiar with its shortcomings: inconsistent product quality, technical claims that could not be verified, and suppliers who were easy to reach until something went wrong.
That experience informs the way we operate. A contractor who runs short of the correct cement grade mid-pour, or a tile contractor whose adhesive performs differently in a humid climate than the data sheet suggested — these are not abstract problems to us. They represent real financial losses and broken project schedules. EDK was built to be the supplier that those professionals deserved: technically rigorous, commercially transparent, and genuinely accountable when questions arise.
We have been exporting from Eskişehir for several years. The product range has grown, the certifications have expanded and the customer geography has widened — but the underlying commitment to straightforward, technically grounded supply has not changed.
What We Supply
Our range is focused rather than broad. Four core categories, each selected because we can supply them to a standard we are prepared to stand behind:
Portland Cement
CEM I, CEM II and CEM III Portland cements supplied to meet TS EN 197-1 and CE marked for European markets. Available in 32.5 N/R, 42.5 N/R and 52.5 N/R strength classes, plus sulfate-resistant and white Portland variants. Supplied in 50 kg bags, big-bags and bulk, with full technical and customs documentation included as standard on every shipment.
Cement Additives
A targeted range of concrete admixtures, waterproofing agents, set accelerators, retarders and fiber reinforcement systems, each formulated to address a specific on-site requirement. Whether the challenge is maintaining workability in high summer temperatures, accelerating early-strength gain in cold weather, or minimising permeability in below-grade pours, these additives are designed to deliver measurable, documented results.
Tile Adhesives & Grouts
Cement-based, resin-based and epoxy adhesive systems for ceramic, porcelain and natural stone installations. The range extends from standard interior adhesives to highly deformable mortars for underfloor heating substrates, fast-setting formulations for time-pressured sites, and chemical-resistant epoxy grouts for industrial and food-processing environments. All applicable products are classified and tested to EN 12004 and EN 13888.
Synthetic Fibers for Concrete
Monofilament and fibrillated polypropylene fibers for crack control and secondary reinforcement in concrete and shotcrete applications. Commonly specified for industrial floor slabs, precast elements, tunnel linings and residential ground-floor construction. Fiber dimensions are selected for compatibility with standard batching equipment and conventional concrete mix designs.
How We Work
Most enquiries begin with a specification — a standard reference, a strength class, a packaging format, a delivery port. We work from that specification directly, without trying to redirect customers towards products that are more convenient for us to supply. When requirements are more open-ended, our technical team asks the right questions to arrive at a precise recommendation.
Technical support is built into our process, not offered as a premium service. The team includes professionals with backgrounds in civil engineering and construction chemistry, and they stay involved from the initial enquiry through to post-delivery follow-up. Product data sheets, safety data sheets, CE declarations of performance and third-party laboratory certificates are maintained as current documents and provided without delay on request.
For logistics, we manage our own transport operations for chemical products in compliance with ADR regulations governing hazardous goods. Export shipments are coordinated with established freight partners, and all associated documentation — certificates of origin, packing lists, phytosanitary and customs declarations — is handled by our team as a standard component of the order process, not as an optional extra.
Quality & Certifications
Certification defines a minimum acceptable standard. Our internal quality programme is set considerably higher — but we recognise that for procurement teams, project engineers and import authorities, documented compliance is non-negotiable. The credentials below cover sourcing, product classification and transport.
- ISO 9001 — Quality management system independently certified and subject to regular third-party audit.
- CE Marking — All applicable products are CE marked under the relevant EU Construction Products Regulation declarations of performance.
- TS EN 197-1 — Portland cement supplied in full conformity with Turkish and harmonised European standards.
- EN 12004 / EN 13888 — Tile adhesive and grout products independently tested and classified to applicable European standards.
- ADR Compliance — All chemical products transported under current international road transport (ADR) regulations for hazardous goods.
- Third-Party Laboratory Testing — Periodic independent verification of product performance against declared specification values.
Environmental Responsibility
Construction is one of the most resource-intensive industries on the planet. That is a fact we work with, not around. Our approach to environmental responsibility is operational rather than declarative: the reductions we report are measured, the targets we set are achievable, and the progress we communicate is verified.
In concrete terms, this means selecting materials and supply partners with lower embodied impact wherever performance criteria are met, favouring producers and logistics arrangements that prioritise energy efficiency and waste reduction, and specifying packaging that reduces single-use plastic content across the range. We are also conducting ongoing evaluation of secondary and recycled material inputs — particularly for cementitious supplementary materials and admixture formulations — with the objective of reducing primary resource consumption without compromising product specification.
We do not publish aspirational commitments without a credible delivery plan behind them. Customers who want a clear, detailed account of our environmental position are welcome to ask — we will provide it in plain language.
Ready to Discuss Your Requirements?
Whether you are placing a first enquiry or evaluating suppliers for a long-term project, the process is the same: send us your specification, and we will respond with product availability, indicative pricing and relevant technical documentation. No obligation, no unnecessary back-and-forth.
